ABFM is hosted by Henry & Debra Stinson who have experienced the full gamut of life’s issues having been married to each other for over 30 years. In the ministry, you will find Debra and Henry along with other ministers facilitating the prison ministry prong.
Henry has been employed in the transportation industry for the majority of his professional career. He has served in several helps ministries at his local church including children’s ministry and prison/jail ministry. Under previous pastors, Henry participated in leadership roles in the prayer, security, transportation and senior’s ministries. Henry has a heart for those detained and has been actively engaged in prison ministry for nearly 20 years.
Debra has an earned bachelor’s degree in management from Chicago State University, a master’s degree in human resources from National Louis University, a degree in biblical studies from Charis Bible College along with ministry licensure, and an honorary doctorate degree from St. Michael’s Institute. Debra was ordained under the banner of Faith Minister's Alliance in September 2017. As with her husband, she has been actively engaged in helps ministries including prison/jail ministry for nearly 20 years. In addition, Debra has a solid background in senior leadership roles in human resources in the healthcare, government, and hospitality industries.
Access By Faith Ministry (ABFM) is a faith-based not-for-profit, 501©3 organization with purpose. First, ABFM serves to enlighten, transform and renew the minds of detainees in the penal system by sharing the message of the Grace of God with them and, for those released, we seek to provide re-entry services through business and workforce development training programs.
ABFM embraces the Bible and believes it is the true and authoritative Word of God. Our foundational scriptures are found in Romans 5:1-2 (KJV):
Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. By whom also we have access by faith, unto this grace, wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Mission: To share the Word of God for the purpose of transforming lives.
Vision: Men and women established in godly principles, restored to wholeness, and empowered to change their lives and the communities in which they live and serve.
